We strive for quality and choose products based on:
- a conservative approach
- an avoidance of cheap imports and inferior products (e.g. copper pipes that develop holes, tap ware that quickly breaks down, pipe systems that last less than 8 years)
- a product’s history, using only those known to be reliable and which conform to a New Zealand standard.
Products and techniques we don’ t use:
- Ginde pipe systems
- Rifeng pipe systems
- Water supply pipes less than 15mm e.g. 10mm systems
- Unbranded generic pvc waste pipe systems
Product standards
Kembla Pex Gas Pipe and fittings complies with Australian Standards As4176, and is backed by Kemblas ISO 9001 quality System and comes with a 25 year Kembla Warranty.
Marley Drain and waste pipe and fittings are manufactured to New Zealand standard NZS 1260: 2002. Marley state that their waste pipe products have a life expectancy of 50 years and up to 100 years for Drainage systems.
Dux Secura gold hot and cold water pipe system
Dux state that their products in this range “can be expected to be in service well beyond it’s 50 years design life”.
Produced from materials and specifications detailed in AS/NZ 2642 parts 2 and 3.
The system meets all the requirements of the New Zealand Building code.
Copper Pipe
Bureau Veritas has certified all copper pipe product used by ABL Plumbing to an approved standard. In accordance with the requirements for NZS 3501:1976. Under an approved quality system based on the ISO 9000 series of standards.
Methven tapware and valves
Methven offers a five-year warranty on all domestically installed product.
All product is manufactured under a ISO 9001: 2000 certification to ensure quality.
Methven supports Wels in its products (water efficiency labelling scheme).
Greens tapware
Offers a minimum of 1 year warranty on product and labour.
Product is manufactured to meet ISO 9001 Standard, Australian Standards, WRASS (U.K), JWWA (Japan) and American Standards.
Foreno Tapware
Manufactured to meet AS/NZS 6400 and AS/NZS 4020 Standards.
Foreno Supports Wels (water efficiency labelling scheme).
